Children and Young people have a right to be protected from being hurt or badly treated (Article 19 UNCRC) as well as a right to play (Article 31 UNCRC).
It is the responsibility of parents, carers, and practitioners to ensure that children and young people face appropriate risk levels and have access to varied, high quality play opportunities.
